How do I care for my flowers?

You are now the proud owner of a gorgeous bundle of fresh, Canadian grown florals! Here’s how to keep them looking their best for as long as possible!

 

Upon delivery:

Undo the wrapping

Remove the moss and discard it into the compost. 

The plastic around moss is either upcycled flower wrappings or biodegradable plastic bags. 

The paper can be recycled or composted, but remove tape first! 

Give them a fresh cut

Use sharp & CLEAN snips or scissors cut at a 45 angle and remove ~½ inch. 

Welcome them to their new home

Fill a clean vase with fresh water add flowers and you’re done!

 

Aftercare:

Make sure to replace water and re-cut stems every 2 days. Also, keep your new flowers away from direct sun, cold draughts, and heat. Be sure to remove spent blooms as they go as this will keep your other flowers fresher for longer! Note that you may need to cut the stems shorter depending on the height of your vase. 

Another little tip is to remove wire stem tie for a looser more organic look or to DIY your arrangement.

How does ordering work? (Floral)

  • How do I place my order?

    All of our blooms are available online on the Floral Menu. If there is something you are looking for and it is not listed, it isn’t available (for now)!

  • Can I customize my bouquet?

    Our team of florists artfully create bouquets with whatever fresh flowers we receive making it tricky for customers to customize. At this time we cannot accommodate custom bouquets. 

  • Can I set up a recurring delivery or subscription?

    This is definitely in the works! We know how convenient this service would be for some of our customers so we are looking forward to having this available for you, hopefully soon.

  • Can I place an order over the phone?

    Our online service is easy-peasy but if you feel you need to give us a call to order, you can.

  • Can you deliver to a hospital?

    We know how a beautiful bouquet can bring a much needed smile to a loved one’s face. Unfortunately, we cannot deliver arrangements to hospitals as fresh flowers are normally restricted from this area. Our recommendation is to wait until your recipient is home safe before placing an order for delivery.

  • Can you deliver to a college or dorm?

    Yes! We can certainly deliver to a college or educational institution but please note that we strongly recommend for you to check with the receiving location about their delivery policies prior to placing your order with us because your delivery will follow the college or dorm’s own security protocol for receiving shipments.

  • Can I send to more than one recipient in one order?

    Our website is currently set up where you can only enter one address and one card message at a time. If you’d like to send to multiple recipients at different addresses, or if you’d like to include multiple messages for your recipients (such as a business delivery for Admins Day, etc.), you will need to place a separate order for each recipient.

  • Can you tell me what flowers you'll be using in the surprise me bouquet?

    These bouquets are a surprise even to us! We receive our flowers fresh, so we don’t always know the exact variety of blossoms or colours we will be using until we go to create the bouquets. And while we can’t promise exactly what will be in your arrangement, we do know they will be beautiful and totally unique! You can take a look at our website as we routinely updated our Flower Menu to depict what is being designed.

  • Can I pick a specific delivery time for shipped orders?

    Unfortunately, we are not able to set up specific delivery times with our shipping partners for across Canada shipments, we can only offer this to our local customers. Have an event that you need your order by? We suggest that you choose a delivery date for the day before the event date, just to be safe!

  • I’d like to set up deliveries for my business needs. How do I do that?

  • Do the flowers include a vase?

    All the bouquets have the option to add on a vase. So unless selected, your bouquet will come signed, sealed and delivered in our rustic brown paper and twine.

  • Can I get same day delivery?

    At this time, we cannot offer same day delivery. For fellow Montreal addresses we can provide next day delivery!

  • What happens if the recipient rejects the order?

    Just so ya’ know, if you place an order and the recipient rejects delivery, whatever the reason, Studio Foliage will not provide a refund and cannot be held liable for the recipient’s decision. If we are unable to substantiate your claim, we reserve the right to reject that claim.

  • Can I pick up in store?

    In light of Covid-19, we provide Contactless pick-up every day between 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM. Just make sure to choose this option at checkout. Please give us a ring at 514-694-4620 when you're on your way and we will have your order waiting outside for your arrival. We know these are uncertain and crazy times, so we thank you in advance for respecting a distance of 2 metres from the door. Please stay safe!
